ملخص الدراسة:

This research examines the evolution of the Palestinian military thought through an important stage in the history of the Palestinian resistance of the British Mandate, the Zionist occupation. This is done considering the period between 1935 and 1968 AD), which witnessed the formation of that thought in Palestine, which had an essential impact on the evolution of the Palestinian national movement. The research targeted the impact of the intellectual development of the militant performance in Palestine on the development of the Palestinian issue in general. This includes the military plans that were pursued by the fighters, and their link with the Palestinian political path. The study examined the impact of this intellectual development on the achievement of fighting aims in addition to the training, arming, organizing the fighting battalion, and establishing the master militant bases. The study examined the impact of these actions on the Palestinian issue by the end of the targeted historical period. The importance of the study comes from highlighting the military thoughts that contributed to the formation of the military actions in Palestine. The study provides Arabic and Palestinian readers a new image for the Palestinian military thought in the study period. The targeted period of the study stretches between 1935 and 1968 AD. The study adopted the historical method. The study arrived at a set of results. The most important ones are: 1- There is a clear delay in the efforts of the Palestinian political elite to keep up with the military events carried out by the fighters in Palestine in the revolution period. 2- There is an important development in the Palestinian military thought as a result of using military tactics that are consistent with the field nature, division of the militant units, and revolution administrative and military organization through arming and training. 3- The Palestinian military action is capable to achieve its objectives if it is supported by a proper Palestinian or Arabic political cover. 4- The military leadership in Palestine operated within a clear and organized vision. This is true in the timing of attacks and selection of targets depending on their importance to achieve the strategic goal of the revolution. The study arrived at a set of recommendations. The most important ones are: 1- The political elites in Palestine have to work on strengthening and establishing a military system capable to actively contribute to the achievement of the Palestinian revolution objectives, and the fulfillment of its cause. 2- The academic staff in Palestine should pay attention to such topics in order to show the shortcomings that hindered the progress of the military movement in Palestine during the confront with the Zionist occupation. These shortcomings should be intellectually treated in order to strengthen the positive points in this movement.
