ملخص الدراسة:

The study aimed to identify the most common problems for Palestinian widow women, the level of their self-affirmation, the relationship between widows’ problems and their self-affirmation and the differences in the widows’ problems and self-affirmation due to the variable level of education and number of children._x000D_
The study sample consisted of (500) widow women who lost their husbands during the last aggression on Gaza. The two researchers used the measure of widows’ problems, and the measure of self-affirmation (which prepared by the two researchers)._x000D_
The study found that psychological problems got first place by %0.89, followed by social problems, then physical problems, and the least were the economic problems._x000D_
It also found a negative correlation in all areas of the scale of widows’ problems and the total score for the scale of self-affirmation to the widows, as well as a significant differences in each of the widows’ problems and the total score for the measure of self- affirmation due to the variable of level of education for the benefit of women who have the level of diploma education or less . Also, it found significant differences in all of the widow’s problems and the total score for the scale of self-affirmation due to the variable of the number of children for the benefit of women who have six children and more.
