ملخص الدراسة:

This study, mainly, aims at identifying the most significant factors that affect employees' attitudes towards early retirement. The study was applied on a sample of UNRWA employees at Gaza Field Office as a case study, who had early retirement from work in the period from 2010 to 2015, and whose number was (200) employees. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method and designed a questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The questionnaire consisted of (50) items and was distributed to seven domains which are: the financial situation of the organization, the personal and health characteristics of the employee, investment of employee’s savings, job nature, job security, the psychological factors of the employee and the decision of early retirement. The data was analyzed to get the findings using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences Program (SPSS). - The study concluded the following findings: - Employees tend to retire early with a high percentage that reaches %74.31. - The factors affecting employees' decision to retire early are: the personal and health characteristics of the employee, investment of employee savings and the psychological factors of the employee. - Early retirement from work keeps the employee healthy, gives him/her the opportunity to practice more social activities and have the opportunity to invest his/her savings better. The researcher's major recommendations were: It is necessary to pay attention to employees’ social, health, psychological and financial situations in order to minimize their attitudes towards the early retirement to maintain the personnel and expertise in the organization. Activating the financial reward system of the employees and improving their salaries to encourage them to work efficiently and productively. Alleviating the pressure of work and providing a comfortable working environment for employees and not to assign staff burdens and additional work. This is in addition to changing the routine and solidity at work in order to mitigate employees feeling of boredom. Keywords: (early retirement, attitudes, UNRWA)
