ملخص الدراسة:

Study Aim: This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the internal work environment in the development of professional performance in the Palestinian daily newspapers. Study Sample: This study was implemented on the communicators in the Palestinian newspapers. Study Approach and Tools: This study belongs to the descriptive research in which the survey method was used. In this context, the study used the surveyed sample method through using an inquisition form. This form was electronically distributed in the Northern Governorate and the Gaza Governorate, considering a randomly distributed sample of 141 workers in the following Palestinian daily newspapers: Palestine, Al Quds, Al-Ayyam, and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida. This occurred during the period from 15-11-2016 to 15- 2-2017, and reached a set of results. The most important ones are: The relations of understanding, harmony and cooperation prevail among the communicators in the Palestinian daily newspapers in percentage of 83.6%. This also allows for opinion and advice exchange among them in a percentage of 71.1%. 66.1% of those employees believe that the regulations and codes are clear and published to all, and 55.2% of them believe that those codes and regulations do not provide material and moral incentives to enhance achievement and creativity. Good working conditions are secured in the headquarters of the investigated newspapers by a percentage of 73%, with a satisfaction rate of 70.8%. There are some obstacles in the internal environment that limit the development of professional performance, including: weakness of job security, ownership pattern of the newspaper and editorial policies by 34%, incentives, bonuses and promotion regulations by 33.3%, and limited availability of qualified human resources in the field of modern technologies by 30.5%, weakness of interest in holding training courses and specialized workshops by 29.1%. Based on the previous results, the study arrived at a number of recommendations. The most important ones are: There must be an interest, trust, credibility and a stimulating and encouraging work environment to improve the performance of workers and to develop the work efficiently and effectively. There is a need to increase the number and diversity of offered training courses as they help the workers to develop their abilities, skills and knowledge. It is necessary to develop regulations and codes in the working environment of the Palestinian newspapers in line with the recent developments in modern life and the existing economic, social and political conditions.
