ملخص الدراسة:

The study aims at identifying the most important issues related to the collective strike of the Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the occupation in 2014 that was addressed by Arab newspapers through using qualitative and quantitative analysis so as to detect the interest Newspapers of the study in the topics of that strike. This is in addition to showing the values contained in hunger strike of the Palestinian prisoners, the reasons for and objectives of the strike. The study also aims at identifying the points of agreement and disagreement in addressing the case by the newspapers of the study, namely; (the Jordanian Al-Dostour, the Qatari Al-Sharq, the UAE's Al-Itihad), during the period stretching from 04/16/2014 to 02/07/2014 A.D. This study is a descriptive study using the survey method, and in its framework, the researcher used content analysis and systematic comparison and mutual relations approach. The tools of the study were the content analysis form and codified interviews. The study also depended on Agenda Setting Theory. The most important findings of the study: The activities of solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners collective strike were much more than other topics. It had first place by (28.4%), followed by issues related to the health conditions of prisoners (20%), and issues of solitary jail with a percentage of (10.8%), and then suppressing the activities of solidarity by (8.7%). The administrative detention ranked first in the causes of hunger strike with a percentage of (54.9%), followed by individual strikes by (4.9%), and frequent extensions ranked third with a percentage of (4.3%), while the issues related to the termination of administrative detention gained great interest in the category of the goals of the strike by (40.3%). The most important conclusions of the study: The study concluded several recommendations including: the need to activate the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails in the Arab newspapers and highlighting the suffering in a progressive manner.
