ملخص الدراسة:

The study aims to identify the legal and practical aspects of Palestinian journalists' rights of accesses to information by exploring the legal frame of this right, revealing the types of classified information and the regulations followed to access, and recognizing the pressure and the challenges that journalists face in order to gain the information. This study based on the descriptive research where the researchers used two methodologies: scanning methodology, through which is scanned the information practice styles, and the mutual relations study methodology, through which the researcher used the causal-comparative study and the connectivity study style. The researcher depended on two tool to collect data, which are survey and interview forms. This study concluded that: 66.67 % of the journalists get acquaint with the legal frame of accesses to information. The personal meeting with the officials is the most common way to obtain information and this is used by 78.00% of the journalists. The executive authority is the main party which ban information with the average of 78.50% followed by the judicial authority with the average of 62.50 per cent. This study recommended: Amending the basic Palestinian law, by enlisting the conventions of the right of accesses to information, and stating them clearly. Ratifying the right to access information and this has to include all the legal principles and criteria, which guarantee practicing this right. Modifying the Palestinian legal system and reviewing the laws, which unjustifiably undermine practicing the right to access information
