ملخص الدراسة:
This study aims at identifying the role of school press in establishing the national principles for high school students in Gaza governorates. It also sheds the light on the reality of school press in the high school in Gaza governorates. This study is classified a descriptive research using media survey methodology which utilized media crowd surveying method, content analysis, and the method of studying interrelationships. The researcher employed the methodological comparative method in its context. In this study, the researcher depended on Uses and Gratifications Theory and Agenda- Setting Theory. The sample of the analytic study included all the wallpapers issued in the high schools, which have been selected via purposive sample method, whereas the sample of the field study included high school students in Gaza governorates. The researcher used the tools of content analysis form, investigation newspaper, and interviews in obtaining study data and information. Content analysis study concluded a set of results, notably: the most important topic the school wallpapers discussed is national principles which came in the first place with (31.5%). It was followed by the educational topics with (15.2%). The issue of Jerusalem was of the most national principles that has been discussed in the school wallpapers. Most of the information that school wallpapers reveal did not define their sources. Handling the graphical figures by the school wallpapers reaches (79.3%). However, field study concluded a set of results, notably: the overall percentage of school wallpapers was high with (77%). The main reasons for following up the papers was to know everything new (81.2%), and to know stories of martyrs (81%), then entertainment, and getting the news of detainees. The study clarified that the main gratifications accomplished was hate for the occupation (89.6%), increase sympathy with the detainees (84.3%), then know the history of Jerusalem and the suffering of its people (83.6%). One of the most notable difficulties facing viewers of the wallpapers is that they are not published systematically or cyclically.
