This study aims to find out how the Palestinian press institutions management was during the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014, its impacts on the professional performance of these institutions, as well as to identify the extent of the Palestinian press institutions in using the administrative functions (planning, organization, evaluation, supervision, leadership, decision-making) during the aggression. The study also aims to identify the impact of the availability of information and communication systems in place, as well as the extent of training of human cadres to that effect, the availability of equipment, techniques, and alternatives at those institutions during the aggression, to identify the extent of commitment of those institutions to the prevention and occupational safety standards and to identify the effectiveness of the professional performance of the Palestinian press institutions during the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014. This is a descriptive study that uses the research survey approach, where the researcher surveyed the media practices methods and correlational approach, where the researcher used the systematic compartive method. The study tools are the questionnaire and the interview. The study population consisted of the Palestinian press institutions. The study sample was at two levels: first, a sample of press institutions, where an intentional sample was chosen, represented in Filisteen daily newspaper Al-Risala half-weekly newspaper, Al-Isteqlal weekly newspaper and the Al-Sada monthly magazine. All of them issued in the Gaza Strip. At the second level, the respondents' sample has been selected in a manner comprehensive inventory of all upper and middle management leaders in the mentioned institutions (board of directors, editorial board, editorial management, editing secretary, heads of departments and sections), reaching 51 respondents. The study concluded to a set of results most notably, that the total score for the use of the Palestinian press institutions of various administrative functions was great and with a relative weight (71%). The extent these institutions use and apply the function of leadership and organizing came to a fair degree. As well as the availability of an effective communication system to exchange information during crises and the comprehensive sophisticated database were all moderate. The total score of the Palestinian press institutions professional performance during the aggression came with a relative weight (67.40%). The study recommended the need to take care of the administrative performance of the Palestinian journalistic institutions , the need to attract young leaders to work within the crews of those institutions, the need to invest in offering advanced training programs during crises and how to deal with them, the need to allocate an independent financial budget in time of crises and the need to build an effective communication system to share, save and archive information on times of crisis
