ملخص الدراسة:

This paper deals with the narrative structures of the two novels: "El qurmuti - Akka and the Kings" by Ahmed Rafik Awad. It included a preface, six chapter and a conclusion. In the preface, the researcher discussed the novelist’s biography, and presented in brief some of his narrative works. The first chapter presented the cover and title visage, their relevance to the novel theme, and their interrelations. The second chapter included the historical prominent figures in the two novels. The researcher highlighted the characteristics of these figures and their relationship with reality. The third chapter dealt with place in the two novels, as both of them are based on a vision as well as passion. The offered a vision that exceeded the limits of mere emotional reflections. The fourth chapter discussed the issue of time and its techniques. In this regard, the novelist employed the various paradoxical narrative techniques including recall, anticipation, posture, omission, sum up and scenery. The fifth chapter reviewed the narrative patterns and types in the two novels, in addition to the description, and its nature and functions. The novelist effectively used them in harmony with the context in a way that makes the reader deeply feels the description beauty and wording perfection. The last chapter included various textual relations including religious, historical and traditional ones. The novelist mentioned these types in his two historical novels. They indeed have a special importance due to the fact that they confirm the Palestinian right in this land. The conclusion sums up the researcher’s vision about this study through presenting the concluded findings.
