ملخص الدراسة:

This study discussed the opinions of Hisham Al-Dareer and Tha’lab, which was mentioned by Abu Hayyan in his books "Irtishaaf Al-Dharb” and “Manhaj Al-Salek". The study analyzed these opinions in a descriptive and analytical presentation. The study included a preface and two chapters. In the preface, the study briefly presented the biographies of Hisham al-Dareer, Tha’lab, and Abu Hayyan. The first chapter discussed the opinions of Hisham al-Dareer and Tha’lab in the fields of Nahw, Arabic grammar, and Sarf, Arabic word structure, in the books of "Irtishaaf Al-Dharb” and “Manhaj Al-Salek”. This chapter also presented the stance of Abu Hayyan in his books "Irtishaaf Al-Dharb” and “Manhaj Al-Salek" against the opinions of Hisham al-Dareer and Tha’lab. This study aimed to review the opinions of Hisham Al-Dareer and Tha’lab in the grammatical and morphological issues mentioned by Abu Hayyan in his books "Irtishaaf Al-Dharb” and “Manhaj Al-Salek” This study also aimed to clarify the level of agreement and disagreement between them, in addition to clarifying the stance of Tha’lab (died 291 AH) against Hisham Al-Dareer (died 209 AH), who were among his successors. The nature of the study required the adoption of the descriptive, analytical, and statistical approach. The study reached some results as follows: Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusi Al-Ghernati is a prominent scholar of the seventh Hijri century. He was characterized with an in-depth knowledge of Arabic language in terms of Nahw, Sarf, and poetry. In addition, he had a distinguished knowledge in Tafseer, interpretation, hadith, narrators’ biographies, and reading methods of the Noble Quran. Abu Hayyan was inclined in most of the issues to the opinion of the Basri scholars, in addition to the opinions of Sebaweih. However, this was not due to any bias or lack of subjectivity. The two scholars Hisham Al-Dareer and Tha’lab are members of the Kufi school. Hisham is one of the imams of Arabic grammar in the third rank of the Kufi school. However, his kinship, birth details, and early life are still unknown. As for Tha’lab, he is the Imam of the Kufis in his time, and number three among three scholars whose achievements were the basis of the Kufi school in Nahw. Main recommendations of the study were as follows: To focus on the books of Abu Hayyan due to their enrichment with the opinions of Arabic grammar scholars from different ages. To pay more attention to the scientific methodology and grammatical views of both Hisham Al-Dareer and Tha’lab. The schools of Nahw and opinions of the scholars of Nahw need a further balanced study that considers the modern Nahw context.
