These images of the end ignite Kushner's anxiety about radical and possible transformation or redemption of the condition of life in America in the coming Millennium. This is what the present paper attempts to explore. Yeats) In these famous lines from The Second Coming the world is on the threshold of an apocalyptic moment. The concept of centrality which is used as a signifier of order, structure and coherence is unable to hold. The world, then, must brace itself for the loosing anarchy and chaos. Here Yeats describes an apocalyptic vision in which the world collapses into anarchy because of an internal flaw in humanity.
