Cince the beginning of creation, the societion emergence, and the appearance of languages, human beings, life stepped towards evolusion and prosperity. Then the need for various types of means started to help human beings in order to fulfil their needs.Across time and during the formation of passtural societies,and as man started breeding sheep and cattle ,his needs for counting the members of his tribe as well as his sheep and cattle appeared so that he would be able to know their number and size.After the emergence of so many change in number, man started inventing numbers and digits.Number was in racing and competion with time and evolution in man life .Therefore ,the invention of units,decimals, hundreds, thousands, millions,billions, etc.appeared.Number is the symbol which carries meaning and a high value, It has its properties in language and it is one of the importand parts of speech, eachlanguage has its own specifis in dealing with number, and its uses.Moreover,each language has its writing system that discriminates it from other vital language.In the present research, we shed light upon the role of number in the formation and morphology of Kurdish words. We dealt withpropernouns as avival sample of the study then we moved towards the role of number on nouns in Kurdish.The effects of Arabic on the nouns due to the religious, geagraphic, and social factors are also dealt with A list of Kurdish proper nouns and their meaning is presented in the study.Original books and resoucer of language, affected on Kurdish and of which Kurdish is affected,are consulted, A comparison of denotation, meanhng ,metonymy, and context ys also made in the study.Success and help are required from god and thanks for him.
