ملخص الدراسة:
The coupling of space-time block codes (STBCs) with the spatial modulation (SM) scheme can introduce a_x000D__x000D_
spatial diversity to the SM systems. This paper presents antenna selection techniques to provide an additional coding_x000D__x000D_
gain with the space-time block coded spatial modulation (STBC-SM). Specifically, the selection of optimal transmit_x000D__x000D_
antenna elements at the transmitter to send a spatially modulated space-time block code is studied. This paper studies_x000D__x000D_
the effects of applying the capacity optimized antenna selection (COAS) algorithm with the STBC-SM. The COAS_x000D__x000D_
algorithm has a suboptimal performance with a trade-off between complexity and bit-error-rate (BER) enhancement._x000D__x000D_
Simulation results for STBC-SM with a spectral efficiency of 3 bits/s/Hz have been introduced with and without antenna_x000D__x000D_
selection.
