ملخص الدراسة:

Abstract Study aim: The study aimed to identify the degree of psychological resilience and emotional poise among intensive care nurses in governmental hospitals in the Gaza Strip. It also aimed at identifying the relationship between psychological resilience and emotional poise as well as knowing the differences between the psychological resilience and emotional poise in relation to a number of variables (gender, place of work, academic qualification, and years of experience). Study tool: the researcher used two instruments, namely the psychological resilience tool and emotional equilibrium, both prepared by the researcher. The study sample: the final sample consisted of (147) nurses. Study Methodology: The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach.  The most important findings of the study: • The relative weight of psychological resilience (76.84%), this means that the intensive care nurses in government hospitals have a very large degree of psychological resilience. • The relative weight of emotional equilibrium (56.61%), and this means that intensive care nurses in government hospitals have a high degree of emotional equilibrium. • There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance α≤0.05 in the degree of psychological resilience depending on the variables (sex, place of work).  The most important recommendations of the study: • Increased interest in outlasting psychological and emotional equilibrium and maintaining them through the decision-makers in the Ministry of Health and non-governmental organizations supporting the health field.
