ملخص الدراسة:

This study aimed at specifying the educational role that the family can assume in the light of Sunna of prophet Mohammed peace be upon him and the extent of what the Palestinian family applies for its children .It also aimed at revealing the impact of independent variables (gender-sample academic level-specialization-number of children) on the family role ._x000D__x000D_
In order to achieve the study objectives ,the researchers used the descriptive approach and designed a questionnaire , which was distributed to a stratified random sample of (532) male and female of IUG students .The sample represents (20%) of the original study society ._x000D__x000D_
Study revealed that:the Palestinian performance was (77.66%)in duties and(71.79%) in procedure ,there were statistically significant differences in favour of female and first level student .moreover there was no were statistically significant differences in favour of specialization and number of children .The study recommended that it is necessary to offer guidance programmes for parents in order to increase their educational culture ,to rise their procedures of education and to develop parents skills for facing life difficulties .It is of necessity of developing the family performance and procedure and its role through the other educational institutions support and cooperation .
