ملخص الدراسة:

The study aimed to measure the ability of financial ratios to improve the quality of financial information in evaluating the efficiency of the service companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. Also, investigate the techniques and mechanisms of financial analysis and their applications on the financial statements of the Palestinian Telecommunications Group to identify the most important indicators that may help to understand and read financial statements. The study also examined the role of financial analysis in evaluating the efficiency of the service companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. To achieve the study objectives, the Palestinian Telecommunications Group’s financial statements for the period from 2011 to 2015 were compiled and analyzed using the vertical, horizontal and financial ratios. In addition, the study examined the impact of the outputs of these ratios on the mean of the closing price of the shares of Palestinian Telecommunications Group - as an indicator of the improvement in the quality of the information of the financial statements to increase the ability to evaluate the performance of this company. The necessary statistical programs including SPSS and Eviews were applied. The study most important findings indicated that there was an effect financial ratios on the mean of the share closing price, which means that using of financial ratios lead to improve the quality of financial information in evaluating the efficiency of the service companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. Thus, the study recommended the importance for the investors to rely on the financial ratios to evaluate the efficiency of the service companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. It also recommended the importance to spread the culture of dependence on the financial analysis among users of financial statements by holding seminars and meetings for small investors in the Palestine Exchange to introduce them to the importance of financial analysis and the tools used in the analysis to rationalize investment decisions. It also recommended the inclusion of the financial analysis statements in the financial disclosure of the companies listed on the Palestine Exchange.
