ملخص الدراسة:

The study aims to identify the nature and most important public opinion measurement centers in Palestine, how they operate, their finance and the difficulties they face, and to evaluate their experience, in addition to show the issues that they are trying to measure and the extent of their success in this, and showing one of the experiences of these centers in the second legislative elections held in Palestine in 2006._x000D__x000D_
This study is contents of four sections, the first discusses the emergence of public opinion polls in Palestine, the second deals with the most important public opinion polling centers in Palestine, and the third deals with the most important problems of public opinion polls in Palestine, and then the last one reviews the experience of opinion polls in the second legislative elections in 2006, and the reasons for the failure of many of these polls to predict the true results of the elections, such as the lack of the required professionalism in most of these centers, the methodological problems related to the measures and tools used, and the high percentage of the undecided who did not make a decision to vote for a specific party until the last moment.
